Damage Deposit

Accidents can happen! When you request to book a kitchen, Syzl adds a damage deposit provision. This amount is either $100 or 15% of the total contract amount, whichever is greater. For long-term bookings where a discount has been applied, there is a $500 flat-fee deposit that is returned 2 weeks after the final booking of the contract is completed. The amount will show separately on your quoted invoice, and Syzl will only charge this if damage to the Kitchen Host's property, contents, or space has been reported and the Host requests it.

We recommend (and some Kitchen Hosts require) that Food Makers have Commercial Liability Insurance (CGL) coverage. See this article for more information on CGL and other types of business insurance (featuring our partners at Zensurance).
